COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
DRIFTLESS ORGANICS CSA PROGRAM
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, which is a super-cool farming model that allows small farmers like us to directly market our produce to the community, and for the community to directly support its local farmers. The way it works is that you purchase a “share” from Driftless Organics, which entitles you to weekly (or bi-weekly) deliveries of a box full of organic produce grown by us throughout a designated season. You pick up your share at one of our many convenient pick up sites (check ’em out HERE). We provide a spectacular array of fresh, wholesome fruits & vegetables in each CSA box.
As a member of our Community Supported Agriculture program, you will be receiving veggies that you know and love like sweet corn, tomatoes, strawberries, carrots and onions. We’ll also throw in the occasional oddity like celeriac and bok choi to spark your imagination. Along with each abundant box of vegetables, you will receive:
- A weekly newsletter with recipes, cooking tips and updates from the farm. Check out our past 10 years of newsletters HERE.
- Access to our online database of over 300 recipes & all of our past newsletters.
- An invitation to come out and visit the farm at our annual Harvest Party in the fall!
Being part of a farm like ours is about more than just receiving a box of awesome vegetables. You will be able to enjoy the freshest produce available, knowing that it’s grown locally and organically by us – all while having a direct connection with the people who grow your food. We’ll have the peace of mind that you, the eater, will be by our side through whatever the season throws at us. Weather and pests can be pretty scary risks for small farmers like us, but they are much more bearable when shared by a bunch of good folks who want to eat healthy and support the local food movement.
