Driftless Organics CSA FAQ's

I miss being a part of Driftless so much! I've been a member of probably twelve different farms, and Driftless is the best by far. You all really embody the SPIRIT of Community Supported Agriculture, and also grow a huge variety of plants so people can really live off of what you send each week. Seriously, I could go on in great detail as to all the reasons Driftless is so good. I really miss you!

THANK YOU and all of your hard workers! My expectations were 100% met and very much exceeded:) I have told EVERYONE I know how happy I have been with our weekly share. Not only is the produce TOP notch, but the high level of organization and communication is much appreciated. It has been AWESOME learning what is in season, how to store/prepare different produce...and most importantly, to put healthy food into my body! I am very much looking forward to next season!

Just a note of encouragement and admiration. This is our first year with Driftless (but not our first year in participating in CSA’s). We have been THRILLED, AMAZED, SO HAPPY with everything you have offered, both in food, in recipes, in organization, in communication. Everything! We are thoroughly enjoying the delicious veggies (and strawberries) that we have received. Our three kids are trying new things each week and loving it all. So, know that we all take the risk of weather right along with you when we sign up for a CSA...we believe in local, organic food, and we’re willing to take this risk to support those who provide it. We were first time CSA-ers this season and now totally hooked! Every week was a fabulous challenge to create meals from the beautiful array of veggies from your farm. We hardly visited the store! If you delivered milk (and cereal maybe) we never would have shopped at all. Even so we spent much more of the beautiful Minnesota summer enjoying time cooking and being outside than staring at produce at the store. So thanks for that, too! You guys are awesome!

This was my family's first CSA.   Our family of 5 split our every other week boxes with my in-laws. We all loved it! It was fun trying new vegetables and great knowing most of our meal came straight from your farm. The variety was fun - the sungold tomatoes were a huge hit. They were gone in hours. My kids ate (and loved) brussels sprouts and parsnips for the first time because of you!

We are splitting a weekly CSA box (community supported agriculture) between five people; every week we head over to the drop-off site in our neighborhood and get a beautiful box of fresh produce. We have enough produce for everyone; we only have one vegetarian in the bunch, so that may make a difference.

The owners are very committed to keeping members informed about the happenings in the farm. With each box, we get a list of a few recipes and how to store and prepare the different fruits and vegetables in the box.

What I love? Having fresh produce, being pushed to try new recipes, and trying vegetables I would probably never purchase at Kowalski's or Whole Foods -- being forced out of my comfort zone challenges my pallet and my questionable cooking ability.   Driftless does a good job of combining standbys and interesting produce.
